According to the Health & Safety Executive’s report between October 2009 and October 2010 there were 233,000* reportable injuries that occurred at work.  If you are injured as a result of an accident at work then call Mackrell & Thomas for specialist free advice.  Workplace accidents happen for a variety of reasons and employers have a duty of care and must take precautions to prevent such accidents occurring.  They must provide a safe environment in which to work, suitable equipment and adequate training.  If therefore you suffer an accident at work were your accident could have been prevented then you may be entitled to make a claim for compensation.

In our experience we know the main factor that will put people off claiming against their employer is how they will react to the claim.  If your employer is at fault then there is no reason why a Personal Injury claim cannot be pursued, by law employers must have Employers Liability Insurance in place to cover accidents in the workplace.

Accidents at work can involve lifting injuries, slips & trips, injuries due to faulty equipment, falling objects, falls from height, inadequate training, etc.  In order to make a claim you need to prove that the injury was the fault of your employer.  For more information or to discuss your possible claim please call 0800 073 0160 or complete our online Claim Form.

We Guarantee:-

  • 100% of the compensation is awarded to you
  • A named solicitor dedicated to your case
  • Expert advice from our friendly team

We can help you claim other losses and expenses due to your accident at work but please note that dependant on your contract with your employer they may not be legally obliged to pay you your full salary whilst you may be off work because of the accident.  This is something you will need to check your contract for.  You may be able to apply for additional benefits if you have had to be off work for a long period of time without pay.  We do not have a benefits advisor at our offices but can help you find one, please contact us for more information.

If you do feel that you need to discuss any tension between yourself and your employer due to the claim against them you can speak to your union representative or alternatively an Employment Law Specialist.  Although we do not deal with Employment Law we will be able to put you onto someone who can help.

For more information with regards to the types of claims we deal with please see the individual pages for Road Traffic Accidents and Slips, Trips & Falls.
