Have a solicitor to make sure you receive the right compensation

Insurers are increasing trying to persuade victims of accidents not to get proper legal advice from a solicitor in a personal claim. They want to deal with you direct and they want to pay you as little as possible.

Mark Hunter, head of personal injury at Liverpool solicitors Mackrell & Thomas, says “insurers will not voluntarily offer you all the compensation that you are entitled to. The only way you will obtain the fair and correct level of compensation is to have a specialist personal injury solicitor helping you.”

Mackrell & Thomas, who have been established solicitors in Liverpool for over 30 years, see insurers trying to deny or reduce genuine claims every day. We use our experience to counter any excuses to avoid paying compensation, we obtain the correct level of compensation and we press for interim payments to assist your recovery and get your life back to normal as much as we can.

If you have an accident then call Mackrell & Thomas, specialist personal injury solicitors in Liverpool, who you can trust to help you throughout your injury compensation claim.

Need a second opinion on your compensation claim?

Clients are increasingly unhappy with their current solicitors and want to change. This often  happens when when clients are pushed towards a firm by their insurers or who have gone to a firm due to their advert in places such as hospitals.

Clients tend to be unhappy as the firm can be hundreds of miles away. They do not have a solicitor dealing with their claim and the firm can push clients towards a settlement using a medical report that the client is not happy with.

Mark Hunter, head of personal injury at Mackrell & Thomas solicitors,  says that ” in recent weeks, we have taken over several claims from firms who do not see client, do not keep in touch with the client and most importantly have advised settling when there is a serious ongoing injury. We have taken over files and when we properly speak to the client about their injury, we often find that some expenses or aspects of the injury have been ignored and clients were being pushed towards an under-settlement of the claim.”

Legal firms that buy claims or spend large amounts on advertising are under financial pressures to settle them as quickly as possible. They can use non-qualified “file handlers” and many never see their clients at all. Courts have recently decided that the way some of these firms deal with claims can lead to claims being negligently under-settled.

If you are unhappy with how your claim is being progressed and want a second opinion from a qualified solicitor then contact us. We can apply for your file and review your claim at no cost to you.

Mackrell and Thomas, no win no fee solicitors in Liverpool have 30 years experience of helping accident victims and can give you a second opinion on your claim.

Always get legal advice from a solicitor in an injury claim

it is important to have the help of a properly qualified solicitor when you have an injury compensation claim.

Insurance companies want accident victims to go direct to them rather than using a solicitor that specialises in injury claims. Why? …. So that the insurance company can avoid paying legal costs and increase their profits.

Mackrell & Thomas, Liverpool solicitors, specialising in accident claims find that insurers’ behaviour often involves the following – undersettling claims, arguing that an impact was not forceful enough so that someone cannot have been injured, making it very difficult to claim loss of earnings.

Insurance companies’ sole aim in compensation claims is to limit how much they should pay out. If you don’t get legal advice from an injury solicitor in your claim and you deal with an insurer direct, it’s likely the insurer will take advantage of the fact you are not represented, they will offer you less than you deserve and you will not fair a compensation award.

Contact Mackrell & Thomas, Solicitors in Liverpool to make sure you ensure the compensation you deserve. We have offices in Huyton and Norris Green and we help clients with accident claims in Page Moss, Hutyon, Prescot, Whiston, Halewood, Kirkby, Walton, Norris Green and Croxteth.

Don’t delay starting your injury claim.

Planned government changes to personal injury claims from 1 April 2013 may make it harder to bring an accident compensation claim on a no win no fee basis.

If you have been injured in an accident and have not yet obtained legal advice from a firm of injury solicitors about making a claim then don’t delay so that you can be sure you will receive the maximum level of compensation.

If you need legal advice from a firm of Liverpool Solicitors then contact Mackrell & Thomas to start your accident claim.
